Following the riverside from the O2 Centre to the Naval College, with fine old and modern architecture alongside surviving industry, this live virtual walk explores the collision of history and present along the Thames riverside from the O2 'Dome' to the Naval College at Greenwich. After learning the meaning of the Dome's dimensions and about its chequered past we head off to see Morden Wharf, the high spec modern apartments next to the Georgian Cutty Sark pub at Ballast Quay, the Trinity Hospital nestled against the huge Greenwich Power Station and the traditional pubs of Crane Street before finishing at Wren's magnificent Naval College. The virtual walk is hosted via Zoom video conferencing where your guide will give an illustrated presentation of the walk route and an accompanying talk, with opportunities for questions and interaction during the virtual walk and afterwards.
