Another in Sue Doe’s series of Guided Walks flowing from the newly-published book Women from Hackney’s History which she contributed to, this one looks at women connected with the area around Hackney Central. They are a colourful and varied group including writers, musicians, Tudor aristocracy, hot air balloonists, blackmailers and actresses. Women who feature in the book are covered as well as some who have been discovered since.
